      Each of the books in this series introduces the reader to one concept, such as greeting or apologizing, with a number of short sentences explaining the behavior, followed by a few examples. The text is very simple--one sentence per page--and there is absolutely no child appeal. Even the cover photos are out of focus. These early readers are boring and overly didactic. Glos.
